About Charissa

I grew up in a very close family of five. I am a pastor's kid and through my parents influence, I accepted Christ as my Savior at a young age.  I was homeschooled until I attended college at Philadelphia Biblical University (PBU) now Cairn University, where I graduated with degrees in communication and Bible. Despite being on a path for theater and communications, God decided he wanted me to work with youth and ultimately start a youth center. So, I helped to start The Solid Rock Youth Center in my hometown of Morrisville, creating all of the necessary documentation at the start and eventually becoming the Executive Director.  I subsequently went back to Cairn and earned my Master's in Organizational Leadership. I also served as a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard for nine years and in Operation Iraqi Freedom. In May of 2010, I married Shawn, who is also a member of my military unit. We had our first child, Kenise, in 2013.

My three favorite pastimes are hanging out with my youth teens, acting, and writing.  I also had the opportunity to have the lead role in "The Rainmaker" as Lizzie at our local theater and I lead my church's drama team, The Christ Lives Club. As for my writing, you can read all about that on my blog, the links, and buy my books from major retailers, Amazon and Barnes and Noble or from directly from my publishers.

Despite being a crazy active life, I am loving it all! I hope you will enjoy going on that adventure with me!
